Let’s look at Charles Dicken’s Ebenezer Scrooge. Scrooge was visited by three ghosts to help him see the error of his ways, so he could fix them BEFORE IT WAS TOO LATE. The first ghost we need to confront to help us overcome our bad habits. The Ghost of Christmas Past. Now this spirit was sent to show Scrooge the COST of his behavior and his habits on himself and EVERYONE around him in HIS past.
Sometimes we have to look BACK at our past to find what our bad health and fitness triggers are. Right now you might be associating more TEMPORARY pleasure with your bad habits then the LONG-TERM PAIN of the COST of them. Maybe it’s junk food binging. Maybe it’s smoking or too much alcohol. Maybe it’s inconsistency with exercise. I don’t know what’s holding you back my friend but I hope you take the time to think about what your specific triggers could be sabotaging your progress. If you do, you can start to come up with a strategy to get those triggers OUT OF YOUR LIFE FOR GOOD!
